Experience
I am a language tutor who teaches Spanish. I want to show students that the Spanish language is not as difficult as it may seem. It can actually be quite fun to learn. I traveled to various Spanish-speaking countries as I grew up. It was a unique experience for my siblings and I that I will never forget. My father had a job working through the State Department, which is why we moved around so much. I attended school in Chile in Santiago. Nido de Aguilas was an international school where I spent time learning. I also attended the University of James Madison. I earned multiple degrees through both schools, including degrees in Spanish, Secondary Education, and French. I have attended numerous lectures in the nation's capital on cultures throughout the world. Not only do I teach Spanish to English speakers, but I also help Spanish speakers learn English. I encourage students to try their best, and I provide positive reinforcement for learning. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy outdoor activities, such as skiing and biking. I also love all sports. My travels have taught me so much positive information about the world that I can't wait to share it with my students. Teaching, language, and travel are all passions of mine.
